The Social Media & Community Manager Opportunity:
Can you never quite get enough of social media? TEDxYouth@Toronto is looking for a digital-savvy and creative Social Media & Community Manager to be our online voice, managing communications in all directions. You will manage our social media accounts to foster and grow our online presence and represent us on all digital touchpoints. You will help to build and grow a community of TEDxYouth@Toronto alumni through our Facebook Community Page to enable connection, provide support and translate ideas into action.
This digital-savvy employee is responsible for all communications, PR, social media, events, and content creation, among other things.
About the gig:
Develop and execute social media strategy and content plan for the year
Work with the TEDxYouth@Toronto team to recommend and implement social media and marketing campaigns
Create marketing copy relevant to students and potential sponsors
Manage content and monitor conversations across all TEDxYouth@Toronto social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat)
Moderate TEDxYouth@Toronto’s Facebook community page
Lead social media analytics and any required ad buys during delegate application process
Generate insights and analytics from social media channels to support outreach and PR strategies
Ensure consistent and timely messaging throughout the event lifecycle
Work closely with Web and Design teams to maintain consistency across all online channels, and collaborate with other teams for individual needs
You’re Perfect Because You...
Have experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and other social media platforms
Have experience with social media analytics
Have excellent written and verbal communications skills
Have excellent interpersonal and organization skills
Have passion for community development and youth leadership
